Brenda Greene, CRNP-PMH

Welcome!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric NP with over 15 years of experience helping people navigate their mental health with confidence and clarity. I earned my degree from the University of Maryland and further refined my clinical skills through preceptorship experiences at Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, and Villa Maria Continuum. Over the course of my career, I have delivered care across inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as long-term care facilities and nursing homes.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, I provide thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My approach is centered on understanding each patient as a whole person and developing individualized treatment plans that support both emotional well-being and long-term stability.

I have extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Schizophrenia, OCD, and other related mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Care is delivered through a balanced integration of medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic strategies, always tailored to each patient’s unique needs, goals, and life circumstances.

Known for a calm, empathetic, and respectful clinical style, I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, open communication, and collaboration. Patients are encouraged to take an active role in their care within a supportive and nonjudgmental environment that values dignity, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality.

I am deeply committed to ongoing professional growth and staying current with advances in psychiatric research and best practices. This dedication ensures that patients receive high-quality, ethical, and effective care informed by the latest clinical knowledge.

I welcome individuals seeking experienced psychiatric care delivered with warmth, professionalism, and a focus on meaningful, lasting improvement in mental health and overall quality of life.

On a personal note…

I like playing the violin and learning to crochet in my leisure time. I value spending quality time with my family and friends, and I am the proud owner of 2 feisty cats. I also enjoy reading as a way to relax and continue learning outside of my formal studies. Finally, I enjoy a variety of music and attending live performances, as they continue to inspire my personal and creative growth.

 My Personal Philosophy

At the heart of effective treatment is a collaborative and compassionate approach to care. I believe that healing occurs in a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel empowered to actively participate in their treatment. Emphasis is placed on building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering open communication, and addressing not only symptoms but also the broader life factors that influence mental health and overall well-being.

Patients appreciate my calm, approachable presence and my commitment to treating every patient with dignity, cultural sensitivity, and genuine care. Ongoing professional development and engagement with the latest advances in psychiatric research ensure that treatment remains current, ethical, and effective.

I welcome individuals seeking experienced psychiatric care delivered with warmth, collaboration, and a focus on long-term stability, personal growth, and improved quality of life.
