Dr. Harlee Williams, Ph.D.

Hello, my name is Dr. Harlee Williams, formerly Onovbiona. I am a clinical psychology resident currently working under clinical supervision and actively completing my licensure requirements. I received my doctorate from the University of Arkansas and completed further training specializing in autism spectrum disorder at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s National Hospital. Over the course of my journey, I offer years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. The majority of my experience has been working providing autism, ADHD, & psychological evaluations and working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, behavioral problems, identity exploration, relationship issues, women’s issues, mood dysregulation, ethnic/cultural background, and life transitions.

I use a variety of different therapeutic approaches depending on each client’s needs. I focus on strength-based therapy, neurodiversity affirming therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I am also trained in behavioral interventions including RUBI and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

I am a clinical psychologist, but I am also a human, mother, wife, and advocate for minoritized individuals and the clients that I am serving. I am a believer that you are the expert in your own life, so I strive to create a safe, comfortable, collaborative, and judgment-free environment where I can support you in your journey in reaching your personal goals, building your skills, and increasing your confidence in managing the challenges of life. I would love to work with you if you think I would be a good fit for you!

Dr. Williams works out of our McLean office and offers telehealth sessions.
