Dr. Daniel Pineau, Ph.D.

My name is Daniel Pineau, Ph.D. I originally grew up in Southern Illinois and attended college at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale (Go Salukis!). Being interested in psychology and philosophy, I decided to continue my journey to help folks in need to graduate and pursue my Ph.D. at the University of Mississippi.

While there, I focused on face-to-face work as a functional behaviorist utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), with a specialty focused on substance use, trauma, and anxiety. I strongly believe that actions and difficulties in the every day world come from the struggles that are unseen by other people.

As a therapist, my goal is to provide a welcoming, warm, and empowering environment. I especially enjoy working with and supporting LGBTQ+ clients, folks who are new to therapy, and people navigating identity. Additionally, I'm passionate about supporting men on their mental and emotional journey.

Dr. Pineau works out of our Stevenson office.
