D. Giovanni Scott, Psy.D.

D. Giovanni Scott, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice and obtained her Doctoral Degree at The George Washington University, Professional Psychology Program. Her primary interests include performing assessments for both children and adults alike who are facing the challenges of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Learning Disorders.

Upon her initial licensure, much of Dr. Scott’s clinical work focused on providing both psychotherapy and assessments for children within the public school and foster care systems. Dr. Scott supported these children by providing pro-bono consultation to the Local Human Rights Committee, Norfolk, Virginia Human Rights Committee for Group Homes. Subsequently, she proudly supported military service members and their families in both the Hampton Roads area and locally in the DMV. This included both pre-deployment and post-deployment training related to family separation and re-entry. She also trained Jr. Airmen on mental health practices outside of the United States.

Following her work with military members, Dr. Scott began providing Fitness For Duty evaluations for WMATA. Performing these evaluations relied heavily upon all of her clinical experiences including therapy, consultation, assessment, and coaching.  Dr. Scott provides psychological testing for Dr. Goldberg & Associates to include providing diagnostic assessments for those suspecting ADHD and Autism.

Dr. Scott works out of our Old Town office.
