M. Renee’ Kidd, Psy.D.

Dr. M. Renee’ Kidd first counseling experience came in 1995, when she began working at a residential drug treatment facility for women and children as a substance abuse counselor. After earning her M.S. degree in criminal justice in 1998, she worked with a contracting organization providing substance abuse counseling for pre-release inmates with New Jersey Department of Corrections. In 2001, Dr. Kidd relocated to Maryland where she worked for Volunteers of America, as the Program Director for residential program from federal inmates.
Dr. Kidd earned her doctoral degree from Argosy University, Arlington, VA in 2009 she completed her pre- and post-doc a public charter school in Washington, D.C., where she conducted intellectual and educational assessments within the school’s special education department.
Dr. M. Renee’ Kidd has been practicing independently for over 12 years. Her primary practice involves disability evaluations (veteran’s, active duty, and social security), fitness for duty examinations (law enforcement, corrections, and firefighters), educational assessments (schools, ABA programs, and attorneys), and therapy (first responders and service members). Dr. Kidd’s evaluation approach is based on gaining practical answers and solutions to the concerns you have. She will assist you by communicating with you, your physician, or other referral source and/or help you to seek out your own resources.

Fun Fact: Dr. Kidd is a veteran of the U.S. Navy; she had the opportunity to deploy onboard the USS WASP for three years as a civilian psychologist.
