Britney Jordan, LPC, CSAC
Britney completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. After undergrad studies, she took some time off from school, to start working in the field of Social Work. Britney worked several jobs in the field to include Group Home Counselor, Social Worker, Substance Abuse Counselor, Regional Service Coordinator, Assessment Coordinator, and Case Manager. Britney discovered that she enjoyed the counseling elements of those positions and pursued her graduate degree in 2014 at Capella University, obtaining a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
She has worked with several populations to include Developmental Disabilities, Children and Adolescents, Adults, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, and Substance Abuse.
Britney has also worked in the Public Sector providing case management and therapy services to individuals with various treatment concerns. Her specialty populations are trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and conflict resolution.
Britney’s therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Wellness Practices, Psychodynamic Therapy, Group Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
She uses eclectic clinical approaches that she tailors to the needs of each client.
