My name is Chelsea Cornett and I am a licensed professional counselor. I completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University and have been in practice for 6 years. I believe in a collaborative and person-centered approach to therapy. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, family problems, and more. I am a trauma informed therapist and have worked with many different people from many different backgrounds.
I work with children, couples, families, and adults, and have experience working with and treating a variety of mental health issues and diagnosis. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as strength-based and solution focused approaches. My therapeutic style is collaborative and person-centered. I strongly believe in developing a collaborative approach to therapy so that my clients feel like they are a part of the therapy process.
My goal is to help my clients work toward the place they want to be while honoring their unique values, personalities, and worldviews. I help my clients resolve issues and achieve their goals by using therapeutic approaches that best fit their needs and situations.
