Holly Segal, LCSW, LICSW
Holly is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and has over 25 years of experience providing mental health services to clients throughout the Washington Metro area.
After obtaining a master’s degree in social work, she completed her post-graduate training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and is also trained in therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Grief Counseling, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and others.
She’s helped clients coping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges or loss, family conflict, parenting concerns (including adoption, and parenting a child with special needs or illness), navigating significant life events and coping with loss and grief. She’s also worked in health care settings with clients diagnosed with cancer, neurologic diseases, chronic conditions, hospice care and in specialized pediatric and geriatric clinics.
She provides therapy to adolescents and adults with warmth and humor in an atmosphere of collaboration. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health that includes awareness of daily habits and practices which can impact mood, cognition, reduce stress and improve a sense of well-being.
