Nadine F. Jumean, LPC-R
Life can be a challenging journey, and we all encounter obstacles that can affect our mental health and overall well-being. My primary mission is to empower individuals to overcome these difficulties and break free from the constraints of limiting beliefs. I'm passionate about helping my clients cultivate self-compassion, develop the necessary skills to navigate life's stressors and build confidence in their resilience.
My therapeutic journey begins with the power of storytelling. I firmly believe that understanding the "why" is the key to bringing about meaningful change and personal growth. By carefully examining the biopsychosocial, developmental, and traumatic factors that contribute to how clients feel, think, and behave in ways that may not serve them well, we can collaboratively rewrite their narratives to align with their authentic values and true selves. Many clients may grapple with shame and self-blame when they lack this understanding. I offer a safe and nurturing environment to explore these emotions together.
My therapeutic style is interactive, marked by empathy, non-judgment, and honesty. I'm committed to a goal-oriented approach, one that empowers my clients to drive the change they seek within themselves. I draw from a diverse toolkit, combining elements of psychodynamic and person-centered therapy and incorporating techniques and modalities from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), and Attachment-based therapy.
My background is multicultural, and I provide empathetic and compassionate support to clients from all walks of life. My experience extends to working with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational issues, family conflicts, grief, and mood disorders. My clinical interests also encompass gerontology and geriatrics, where I work with individuals, couples, adults, and seniors facing short-term and long-term life challenges.
If you're ready to embark on a journey toward personal growth and enhanced well-being, please contact me. I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's begin this transformative journey together.
I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University.
