I am a bilingual licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing for the last 8 years. I am fluent in Urdu and my experience includes working with the military, adults, and the elderly population treating individuals with substance-related and addictive disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, developmental trauma, suicidal/self-harm behaviors, borderline personality disorder, adjustment disorders, and loss and grief issues. I use a solution-focused, strength based, person-centered, and trauma informed approach that draws from Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Integrative Therapy.
I also worked at hospice care providing loss and grief counseling to individuals and groups as well as at a correctional system and an outpatient certified community behavioral health clinic where I treated various substance use and mental health disorders.
My specializations include relationship issues, parenting issues, domestic violence, anger management, sexual abuse, life transitions, military and family life counseling, stress management, divorce, trauma, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, self-esteem, and emotion regulation.
