Dr. Noel Goldberg is a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia and Washington, D.C., with more than two decades of experience providing psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and clinical leadership. As the founder of Dr. Goldberg & Associates, Dr. Goldberg combines his clinical background with a longstanding commitment to building a practice where patients can access comprehensive, high-quality mental health care. His experience working within multidisciplinary settings has shaped his belief in collaborative care and in looking at the whole person rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. His career has included individual, couples, and group psychotherapy; psychological assessment; work with military service members and Veterans; clinical supervision; crisis intervention; and collaboration with professionals across psychology, psychiatry, nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and other disciplines.
In his leadership role, Dr. Goldberg oversees the clinical direction and continued development of Dr. Goldberg & Associates. Since establishing the practice in 2003, his responsibilities have extended beyond direct patient care to include hiring and managing mental health professionals, expanding services in response to patient needs, supporting the provision of psychotherapy and psychological assessment, and overseeing key aspects of practice operations. Our Approach to Leadership
As a multidisciplinary mental health practice, effective care requires more than what happens during an individual appointment.
It also requires thoughtful clinical oversight, well-trained staff, responsive administrative systems, collaboration between departments, and a continued commitment to improving the patient experience.
Our leadership team works collaboratively across the practice to support:
High-Quality Clinical Care
Our clinical leaders support providers through consultation, supervision, professional development, and ongoing attention to standards of care.
A Better Patient Experience
From the first phone call through ongoing treatment, we continually evaluate how we can make it easier for patients to understand their care, communicate with our team, access resources, and get the help they need.
Supporting Our Providers
Providing excellent mental health care also means supporting the professionals who deliver it. Our leadership team works to give clinicians the resources, training, consultation, and operational support they need to focus on their patients.
Training & Professional Development
Mental health care continues to evolve. We prioritize ongoing learning and development for both clinical and administrative staff so our team can continue strengthening the services we provide.
Accessible Mental Health Services
We work to reduce barriers that can make finding mental health care difficult. This includes offering multiple types of mental health services, helping patients navigate provider matching and scheduling, accepting insurance for many services, and providing both in-person and telehealth options when available.

Our Commitment to Patients
Our goal is to create an experience where patients feel supported not only by their individual provider, but by the practice as a whole.
That means continuing to ask important questions:
Are we making it easy for patients to access care?
Are we communicating clearly?
Are we supporting our providers so they can provide excellent treatment?
Are we listening when patients and staff tell us something could be better?
Are we continuing to grow as a practice?
Our leadership team is committed to continually evaluating and improving how Dr. Goldberg & Associates serves our patients, providers, staff, and Northern Virginia communities.
