About Medication Management
Medication Management Services
At Dr. Goldberg & Associates, we are dedicated to supporting your well-being through medication management services. Our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners are in-network with Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CIGNA, and United Healthcare, making it easier for you to access the care you need. Our experienced providers offer both in-person and virtual appointments, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your schedule.
We are able to support a wide range of mental health conditions, including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and more.
We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, which is why we always recommend pairing medication management with therapy for the most effective outcomes. However, we understand that every individual's needs are unique, and therapy is not required to access our medication management services.
To better accommodate your busy lifestyle, we offer evening and weekend appointments as well as virtual and in-person sessions at several locations.
*Please note that we do not offer injections.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does my prescriber offer therapy?
Our prescribers do not offer solely therapy sessions. Each session includes some discussion of symptoms and life events, and there may be some therapeutic techniques used during the session, but for therapy sessions, you can contact our team to be set up with one of therapists who are in-network with insurance.
What do I need for my first appointment with a prescriber?
You will need to complete intake forms, including vitals, insurance information, and medical history information. We ask that you send any recent labs you have had completed so the provider can be as prepared as possible for the session and help prevent prescription delays. Each prescriber's requirements are different, but you may be asked to complete assessments and questionnaires which help the provider determine a baseline for your current condition and create the best treatment plan for your situation.
How often will I need to schedule follow-up visits?
Follow-ups are based on the type of medication prescribed as well as your specific symptoms. Sessions will be more frequent for new patients as the provider and patient are figuring out the best medication regimen and symptoms become stabilized. Eventually sessions may be up to 90 days apart.
How can I request refills or contact my prescriber?
We have a portal that patients can use to message their prescriber directly with symptom concerns and refill requests. If you need access to the portal, please email [email protected] or call (703) 935-0058 (Option 2).

*Please allow 3-5 days for your provider to respond. If it is an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
The pharmacy did not fill my prescription, what should I do?
- If they did not fill it due to needing a Prior Authorization, please email [email protected] or call us at (703) 935-0058 (Option 2). Our medication management admin team will work on applying for a prior authorization for the medication.
- If it is another reason, please message your provider on the portal to provide the reasoning so they can troubleshoot the prescription issue.
How do I access my sessions?
We use either Doxy.me or Zoom for sessions. The link is the same each time. We will email you the link when we schedule you with your provider. You can always reach out if you lose the link.
We do not use the portal for sessions and there is no password needed to join the sessions.
