About Me
I provide a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier patterns in their relationships and daily lives. I work with individuals and couples experiencing relationship concerns, attachment difficulties, anxiety and stress, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, depression, family conflict, and self-esteem issues. I especially enjoy helping clients understand the patterns underlying their emotions and relationships and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting with others—and with themselves.
I believe therapy is most effective when you feel respected, understood, and actively involved in the process. Together, we can identify patterns, build practical skills, and work toward lasting and meaningful change.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative, conversational, and individualized to your needs and goals. I want therapy to be a place where you feel heard and understood while also having opportunities to gain insight, receive honest feedback, and develop practical strategies you can use outside of sessions.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based approaches, trauma-informed therapy, and relationship-focused interventions. We may explore both past and present experiences to better understand patterns, identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, strengthen emotional regulation and communication skills, and set realistic goals. I aim to be actively engaged while allowing you to guide the process, creating a balance of support, curiosity, and gentle challenge.
What to Expect When Working With Me
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but have difficulty changing. You may be struggling with conflict or disconnection in your relationships, difficulty communicating your needs or setting boundaries, or wondering why the same situations continue to trigger strong emotional responses.
You may also be navigating the effects of past experiences or trauma while trying to build healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self in the present. Or perhaps you’re simply struggling to manage everything on your plate and want a supportive place to sort through your thoughts and emotions. Often, people begin therapy when they realize they’re ready for something to change but aren’t sure how to get there on their own.
During your first appointment, we’ll spend time getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and discussing what you would like to be different in your life. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. We’ll start where you are and begin developing a plan that feels appropriate for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What concerns do you specialize in?
I specialize in relationship concerns, attachment, anxiety and stress, emotional regulation, and trauma-related concerns. I also work with ADHD, depression, family conflict, and self-esteem. A common focus in my work is helping clients understand the patterns underlying their emotions and relationships so they can develop healthier ways of coping and connecting.
What is your therapy style?
My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I want you to feel heard and supported, but I’m also comfortable providing honest feedback and gently challenging patterns when I believe it may be helpful. Therapy with me isn’t about simply following a script—we’ll shape the process around what you need and what you want to accomplish.
Do you have experience helping with what I’m going through?
This is one of the questions I hear most often, and I understand how important it is to feel confident that your therapist understands the challenges you’re facing. I have experience with a range of concerns, and I’m always happy to talk about your specific situation and how I may be able to support you. If I’m not the right fit for your needs, I’ll be honest about that and help you identify the type of support that may be a better match.
What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous, especially when you’re sharing personal parts of your life with someone new. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before you begin. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself, ask questions, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is about finding someone you feel comfortable being open and honest with while also feeling supported in making progress. I tend to work best with clients who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that may be shaping how they respond to things today. You don’t have to decide immediately—we can use our first few sessions to see how you feel working together.
A Little More About Me
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing video games, and caring for my pets. I value creating a warm, genuine connection with the people I work with and believe therapy can be both meaningful and approachable. I want you to feel like you’re working with a real person who is there to understand you, not simply checking boxes or following a script.
Starting therapy can be an important first step toward feeling more understood, confident, and in control of your life. If you’re ready to better understand yourself, work through challenges, or create healthier patterns in your relationships, I’d be honored to support you along the way.]
