About Me

I’m a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience. I work with children ages 6+, adults, and older adults who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, panic symptoms, mood changes, sleep concerns, emotional dysregulation, or other psychiatric concerns. My goal is to provide thoughtful, collaborative care that helps each patient feel heard, understood, and supported.

I am fluent in English and Persian/Farsi and bring experience from psychiatric care, adult primary care, acute hospital settings, residential care, and outpatient practice. My broad medical background helps me look at the full picture when evaluating symptoms and treatment options.

My Approach to Medication Management

I believe good psychiatric care starts with listening. I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, concerns, and what you hope to change. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to create a plan that feels realistic and appropriate for your needs. That plan may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and other evidence-based options when appropriate.

I also incorporate psychotherapy techniques into visits when helpful. During Spravato treatment, I value the opportunity to get to know patients in a more relaxed but still therapeutic setting while supporting those receiving treatment for treatment-resistant depression.

What to Expect When Working With Me

You may be considering psychiatric care because symptoms are beginning to affect your daily life, relationships, work, school, sleep, concentration, or overall well-being. You may also be looking for diagnostic clarification, medication management, or simply a fresh perspective on a treatment plan that no longer feels effective.

During your first appointment, my goal is to understand the full picture—not just your symptoms. We’ll review your current concerns, medical and psychiatric history, previous treatments, medications, and personal goals. I also want you to feel comfortable asking questions and telling me what has or has not worked for you in the past.

If medication may be helpful, we’ll discuss the options, potential benefits, side effects, and alternatives together. Prescribing decisions are based on a complete clinical evaluation and what is safest and most appropriate for your individual needs.

Whether this is your first time seeking help, you’re returning to treatment, or you’re simply looking for a provider who takes the time to understand you, I would be honored to support you in feeling better and functioning more fully in your life.
